The cat, Hidey, was known to have lived in neglected and superficial care until his owner, 82-year-old Paul Russell, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was sent to a care center by relatives.

However, his cousin Paul took Heidi to an animal shelter in Pittsburgh. Although the thick strange hair frightened the staff here, the nurses still treated and cared for Hidey very hard, making Hidey beautiful and moving.
According to The Dodo, after undergoing a medical examination, Hidey will be cared for by a distant relative of the original owner, promising a happy and peaceful life.
