Meta CEO and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg sheds tears after undergoing surgery for an ACL tear sustained during mixed martial arts training.
In an Instagram post, the billionaire technologist shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed along with the news of his injury.
The post read:
'Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me,' he wrote on Instagram
'I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that's delayed a bit.
He added: 'Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support.'
In the picture, Zuckerberg was seen with his left leg securely bandaged and in a leg brace. As known, he had been preparing for a competitive MMA fight in the early part of the next year, so these plans will likely need to be adjusted.
