A TikTok video has attracted more than 6 million views a surprise encounter between three women and an alligator on a river in Florida, USA.
The three women were relaxing on inflatable rafts along the Ichetucknee River near Fort White when they unexpectedly came across a large alligator sunbathing nearby.
The alligator remained motionless on the log until the women's screams startled it. "Get out of here," Chapuis said in the video, "It's hissing at you."The woman on the raft closest to the alligator quickly paddled away to avoid the large reptile.
Chapuis said she had never seen an alligator on the Ichetucknee River before. "It could very well be a mother alligator protecting her young nearby.
Fortunately, the woman managed to distance herself from the alligator and the group proceeded on their journey while the animal remained stationary. The vast majority of viewers who commented on the footage seemed to find the incident amusing.
Some were unsure of what might happen to a hungry bad fish, but there were also those who felt that the meeting had turned the vacation into a truly unforgettable experience for the trio.
