Every animal needs more love in this world. Many of them need human help to have a better life.
In a tragic story, a dog faces death after being immersed in an arctic storm for too long. However, she finally has a second chance of living.
Early this week, a Michigan rescue center found a dog who nearly died after suffering the extremely low temperatures amid an Arctic Storm for too long.
According to the rescue team, they received an emergency call about a dog that was freezing to death and lying on snow.
The staff immediately came to the scene to help the dog who was estimated 8 months old.
When the rescue team found the dog, it was weak and thin and was suffering from a serious body temperature decrease.
Theresa Sumpter, the executive director of Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue, claimed that they didn't know how long the dog had been outside. But they estimated that around a few hours was enough to lead to his body's lowly decreased temperature.
The National Weather Service has issued emergency warnings for areas such as Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming about The Arctic blast.
It can cause dangerously cold temperatures, including for people and animals. Some areas have been experiencing record-low temperatures.
According to PetMD, temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit can seriously affect the health of dogs, especially old, young, or sick dogs.
If temperatures continue to drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, dogs can suffer from hypothermia and even frostbite if they stay outside for too long.
After being rescued promptly, the dog, who was named Willow, is now much better and has overcome psychological trauma.
Willow has recovered well under the care of rescuers. It can eat and drink normally, different from its scared and weak appearance when it first arrived at the shelter.
The rescue team posted some of Willow's photos on their Facebook to plead for support and donations when they have so many dogs in need of help.
Numerous followers have reached out to donate to Willow as well as other dogs. Many of them have also offered to adopt Willow in hopes of providing her with the real home she deserves.
