Sergii Gordieiev, also known as The Q, is a YouTuber who enjoys experimenting with bicycles. His latest project involved designing and building a bicycle with square wheels to see if it could work. In a video released on April 9, he demonstrated the outcome of his experiment.
A square-wheeled bicycle designed and built by a YouTuber named The Q has gone viral with nearly six million views in just a few days.
The design process involves welding metal pieces together to create square wheels, drilling holes for the sprockets, and welding spokes to the center hub. By welding two chains together, The Q creates a track that encircles the square frame.
He screws tire rubber to the outside of the tracks for traction and attaches the square wheels to his bike for a test run, which is a success.
Although it runs smoothly, the square-wheeled bike is slower than a normal bike and may be challenging to ride uphill.
While it's certainly an inventive creation, whether or not it's practical is up for debate.
