This orphaned cub named Tamarack was rescued from the Northern California wildfires. During the rescue, it was discovered that his feet were burned in the fire.

Immediately after that, Tamarack was taken to be treated for his injuries at a wildlife care facility. However, he escaped back into the wild, much to the surprise of many people.

After many difficulties, Tamarack is still alive and well. He was even caught peacefully, and there is a lovely video to prove it. It is known that since Tamarack escaped last summer, Toogee Sielsch, a wildlife enthusiast, has been recording his movements on trail cameras placed throughout the woods near his home.

Through the images that the carare recorded, many people are surprised Tamarack is not simply surviving - he is thriving.

This proves that the orphaned cub has exceeded his capacity. Recently, Sielsch's camera captured Tamarack dropping into a large puddle to take a shower. However, he is not alone.

He had a toy bear statue that he found and befriended. Here's a video of the pair in action: No idea where the bear toy came from, but it's clearly something Tamarack treasures.

Seeing them together made Sielsch smile. Sielsch told The Dodo: "I think it's almost a perfect example of the mischief not only of the black bears but of all of them."

The video captures Tamarack engrossed in play without paying attention to his surroundings. Even captures the sweet smile of a cub plunging into a puddle and playing with a small toy bear he found.

However, that clip only captures his happy moment without anyone knowing the difficulties he is about to face. Hopefully, Tamarack can live a safe, healthy, and happy life as it is smiling in the video now.
