American flight attendant removed from plane after teenage girl 'found hidden camera in first class restroom on board'

A male flight attendant from an American Airlines flight was removed by police after 'a teenage girl found a hidden camera' in a first-class toilet.

Massachusetts State Police responded to a 'potential criminal act' that occurred on an American Airlines flight 1441 traveling to Boston from Charlotte, North Carolina on September 2.

The incident occurred on September 2 during American Airlines flight 1441 from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Boston.

The Massachusetts State Police, responsible for addressing potential criminal activities that happen on flight. State Police Troop F, which holds jurisdiction at Boston Logan International Airport, was the first to arrive on the scene.

According to reports from a fellow passenger, the incident unfolded when a male flight attendant stopped a young girl from walking to the plane’s first-class toilet.

According to Boston 25 News, the passenger said: “He stopped her and said, ‘Hey, hold on just a second. We’re about to start collecting trash so I’m going to wash my hands.’ So he went in the bathroom and then she went to the bathroom,” 

An unnamed passenger on board believes it is during this sequence of events the suspected "criminal act" allegedly occurred. 

As per his account, after the young girl exited the restroom, fellow passengers observed the flight attendant go back in. He says the girl’s mum hurriedly approached the toilet to prevent another person from going in.

'The mom stopped that passenger from going to the bathroom and said 'Wait, don't go in there,' according to the passenger.

When the plane landed, state police boarded the plane and commenced their investigation. According to the unidentified passenger, it was relayed to him that the mother was claiming the presence of a hidden camera in the restroom.

He added:  'After 3 or 4 different people checked the bathroom, they took the male flight attendant off, and that's when they let us off.'

American Airlines told to Daily Mail: 'We take this matter very seriously and are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, as safety and security are our highest priorities.' 

After conducting their investigation, the State Police confirmed that the purported incident took place during mid-flight,  which falls under federal jurisdiction. Consequently, federal investigators have taken over the investigation.
