Wags and Walks Center has partnered with website company SquareSpace to create a website, which displays their dog names, photos, personalities and zodiac signs to find owners more effective.
“Compatibility is a huge factor when pairing pets with owners, and what better way than astrology?” Ashley Camale, head of consumer, product and international communications at SquareSpace, said.
The staff at Wags and Walks still keep records of the personality traits, likes, and dislikes of each dog they care for.
“They are rescued dogs, so we mostly don't know their actual date of birth, we assign them a zodiac sign based on their personality when we get to know them.” Ariana Howell, the center's volunteer coordinator, said.
Artie (Aries) - most compatible with owners who are Gemini, Leo and Sagittarius
Coconut (Taurus) - most compatible with owners who are Pisces, Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn
Sheeba and Ramsey (Gemini) - most compatible with owners who are Leo, Sagittarius, Aquarius
Alexander (Cancer) - most compatible with owners who are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
Banana (Leo) - most compatible with owners who are Aries, Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius
Jill (Virgo) - most compatible with owners who are Taurus, Capricorn, Cancer
