Fans of Ariana Grande have found themselves puzzled by what appears to be a change in the singer's voice.
At the Oscar ceremony, onlookers were baffled after Grande graced the stage alongside Cynthia Erivo to present the award for Best Original Song.
Ultimately, the honor went to Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell for their composition 'What Was I Made For?' from Barbie, making them the youngest duo to claim two Academy Awards.
However, several fans were baffled when hearing Grande's voice on stage. It was Grande's vocal performance that stirred discussion, as many viewers were taken aback by what seemed to be a noticeable alteration in her voice.
One person said: Well I've heard her do many different choices and accents... she's really good at it.
A second wrote: Perhaps her Glinda voice for Wicked the movie.
A third commented: I’m thinking she still in voice of the movie she just did
While someone else said: Her voice cracked & testosterone kicked in.
Another added: She is probably have voice and acting coaching to move into film.
This isn't the first time Grande has faced scrutiny over the sound of her voice, and her appearance at the Oscars only fueled further speculation among fans.
Previously, the singer has been criticized for allegedly using a 'blaccent' during interviews with the press.
At the Oscars, however, audiences were confounded by her vocal delivery, prompting a flurry of reactions on social media.
