Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis stated not to give money to their children as an inheritance.

In a 2018 interview on the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Kutcher explained their rationale for not setting up trust funds for their children, Isabelle and Dimitri.

He stated that if their kids wanted to start a business and had a solid business plan, he would be willing to invest in it. However, they would not be receiving any trust funds.

While Kutcher's comments were made a few years ago, they continue to resurface on social media and generate mixed reactions.

Some applaud the couple's decision, seeing it as a way to instill a strong work ethic and prevent their children from becoming entitled.

However, others criticized the couple's decision, suggesting that they should leave their fortune to worthy causes while still providing some financial security for their children.

Kunis also shared her points on raising their children in a 2017 interview with Ella UK.

She expressed a desire to ensure that their children do not become spoiled or entitled, despite their special upbringing.

The couple even took a no-presents policy during Christmas when their children were young, opting instead to request charitable donations or limit gifts to one from grandparents.

"We're instituting no presents this year because when the kids are younger than one, it doesn't really matter. Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much. We didn't give her anything — it was the grandparents," Kunis said.

"'We're begging you — if you have to give her something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we'd like to take a charitable donation to the Children's Hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want,'" she added.

The raising children policy of Kutcher and Kunis captured the attention of the public.

life is so hard why wouldn't you make it a bit easier on your children. i mean let them learn responsibility and a career path but also look out for them, one user said.

Well, then they are not Wise because the Bible says that a Wise Man Leaves an inheritance to his Children and to his Children's Children. We Work to make it easier not harder for Our Family. Teach them responsibility not Suffering in exchange for responsibility, the second user commented.

That’s harsh, especially for people who can easily afford it! Find some creative way to incentivize their inheritance in stages, achievements, prodigies something FFS, the third user explained.

Well, their kids will get a good leg up in whatever industry they end up in. They'll probably have their own money by the time she kicks it. Anyway, I believe the inheritance tax has more to do with these millionaire people saying "they aren't leaving money to their kids, another wrote.
