Peruvian authorities recently attempted to retrieve an alleged 'alien mummy' found in Peru.
The mummy, with three fingers and toes, was being presented at a press conference but then was interrupted due to the authorities' intervention.
The incident occurred during a press conference hosted by ufologist Jaime Maussan, where the peculiar sample was being showcased.
The 'alien mummy,' named Montserrat, gained attention due to its unusual features, including three fingers and toes.
Jaime Maussan, who is known for his participation in past incidents related to claimed findings of beings from outer space, was showcasing the mummy to the audience.
In the past, he once presented two centuries-old 'alien corpses' discovered in a diatom mine in Cusco, which led to legal proceedings against him for alleged theft from their country of origin.
Now, he claims to possess 'definitive proof' of tridactyl mummies, referring to their unusual three-fingered and three-toed characteristics.
However, at the press conference, Peruvian authorities from the Ministry of Culture and police officers suddenly interrupted the event to retrieve the 'alien mummy.'
To explain their interruption, the authorities mentioned social media messages about the exhibition of mummies with three fingers.
However, their attempt to seize the mummy didn't succeed because Montserrat was not present at the conference.
Even though the mummy was not there, Maussan proceeded with a video presentation about the three-fingered mummy.
Meanwhile, researcher and journalist Jois Mantilla invited the officials to watch the 15-minute video.
Experts and scientists have doubts about whether the mummified body is genuine. They are skeptical about its authenticity.
Some experts propose that it could be made by using human bones, possibly acquired from looters who sell such items illegally.
The skepticism surrounding Maussan's statements is reasonable because he has been linked to previous instances that were later proven to be fraudulent, like the 'Metepec Creature' and the 'Demon Fairy.'
One of his remarkable samples is the 'Metepec Creature,' which was later found to be a monkey without skin.
Another sample is 'Deman Fairy,' which turned out to be a mixture of bat remains, wooden sticks, and resin.
Furthermore, due to his participation in false UFO claims and attempts at fraud, Maussan has been honored with induction into the UFO Watchdog Hall of Shame.
