The green bottle of the long-extinct Gunther beer was discovered by a man named David, who has conducted over 3,000 demolition inspections during his 17-year career. David told Newsweek: “I have never found anything like it after 17 years and over 3,000 demolition inspections of every type of building or facility you can think of."

The bottle's label bore the scrawled message: "This bottle was put in here by the plumber on 3/25/55" more than 68 years ago.

Initially, there was a hint of apprehension, as he suspected the bottle might contain urine, a common discovery in his line of work. He explained, "Drywall workers are notorious for this as they work hard and do not get many breaks."

Upon realizing that it was an empty beer bottle, their apprehension transformed into fascination. David and his colleagues took a break from their work to appreciate the discovery and speculate about its origins. He said, “We all stopped working to admire it and speculate about its origin, the plumber, and what was going on in the year 1955."

David chose to share his find on Reddit, where he received intriguing comments from individuals who had unearthed other remarkable discoveries.

One person said, I found this while doing a move-out cleaning.

A second wrote: I found one in my home when remodeling. It was in the bathroom. There was a note from 1912 when the house was built, one from 1945 when it was remodeled (they talked a lot about the war and how their son died), one from 1976, and then the one from 2014 that I left. All in the same jar.
