They were seen callously abandoning a late-art collector's belongings, leaving numerous people outraged after watching the video.
According to the video, which was posted by influencer Anna Sacks, the prose belongs to Diane Greene, 79, who passed away.
A two-minute-long video showed that Sacks guided the camera through a disarray of possessions strewn outside The Alameda, an upscale high-rise on the Upper West Side.
According to Anna Sacks, these items are said to have belonged to Diane Greene, a 79-year-old co-op owner who recently passed away.
The video displays framed paintings, an ornate wooden table, a Singer sewing machine still nestled in its brown leather carry case, and numerous other belongings crammed into black trash bags.
According to Anna Sacks, the objective of the building is to quickly empty the apartment for renovation and list it at a high price.
Anna supposed that the deceased's next of kin did not want anything, and her task was to empty everything from the apartment and revise the markings.
The influencer salvaged several items herself, primarily homeware and clothing, along with an unopened bottle of champagne. In the video, she tries on various garments, showcasing a brown button-up shirt, a ruffled blue jacket, a red double-breasted jacket with a matching skirt, and a lacy floral-embroidered shirt.
These pieces reflect Greene's exquisite taste and her passion for the arts, which is further evident from the colorful paintings discovered among the discarded belongings, as well as a framed etching by 19th-century French artist Xavier Le Sueur.
After a 24-hour upload, the video quickly went viral, garnered over 1.5 million views, and sparked debate on social media.
