According to recent reports, the nearly decade-long divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continues to be dramatic.
Sources close to the situation have revealed that Pitt currently has 'virtually no contact' with his adult children, but does have visitation rights with the younger children.
Specifically, the couple's eldest daughter, Shiloh Nouvel, has filed to legally change her name, dropping the Pitt surname on her 18th birthday.
This was seen as a major hurt to the three-time Oscar-winning actor.
The divorce between Pitt and Jolie has been lasting for years, having filed for it back in 2016.
Jolie claimed Pitt was physically abusive towards her in front of their children during a private flight, and so she sought a divorce to protect the kids.
According to sources close to People magazine, Pitt "has virtually no contact with the adult kids" and his "engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule."
However, the source stated that per their custody agreement, Pitt does have visitation rights with the younger children.
The source also revealed that the reminders of Pitt "losing his children" are not easy for him.
"He's aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. The reminders that he's lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It's very sad," they said.
The couple share six children together - Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (15). While Jolie has the children the majority of the time, the custody agreement allows Pitt visitation with the younger kids.
Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon were captured taking a stroll along the beach in Santa Barbara, sipping coffee and chatting. They looked comfortable and happy together, dressed casually in simple white outfits.
Pitt and de Ramon's relationship is said to be growing increasingly serious.
Earlier this year, it was reported that de Ramon had moved in with Pitt, though she still occasionally visits her own home.
Sources reveal that Pitt is deeply in love with de Ramon and sees the relationship as truly serious, though he is not rushing things. The sources say de Ramon is very happy and loves being with Pitt.
Meanwhile, Pitt and Jolie are embroiled in a lawsuit related to the sale of couple shares in the Chateau Miraval winery in France, which they co-owned.
Pitt is reportedly trying to resolve the divorce proceedings with Jolie so he can focus on his new life with de Ramon.
In a recent interview, Jolie expressed her weariness with the "unhealthy" Hollywood culture.
Jolie's personal life has often been in the public spotlight, including her marriages to actors like Jonny Lee Miller, Billy Bob Thornton, and Brad Pitt.
She admits she may not have chosen acting if it meant always being under public scrutiny and having to reveal personal information.
Jolie wants to leave Los Angeles and explore new opportunities, particularly in Cambodia where she owns a home.
She has also voiced concerns about the "shallow" and "unhealthy" Hollywood entertainment industry in recent years, leading her to take on fewer acting projects due to personal issues affecting her health.
While not providing specifics, Jolie acknowledges that motherhood has brought positive changes to her life, especially after adopting her first son from Cambodia at a young age.
