During the most important day in a girl's life, the bride typically chooses high heels for the wedding. However, this bride has sparked a debate by opting for Crocs and making them a standout choice for special occasions.
Though the bride faced criticism after wearing Crocs, numerous people admit they are comfortable.
While several people, who are traditionalists, said that Crocs make the bride "gross" and are unsuitable for a wedding, others said that Crocs are a good choice for the bride and allow her to dance comfortably at the party.
The question was divided on the Facebook group "Wedding Idea" after one user asked, "Wedding crocs? Yes or no?!"
Although the question seems simple, it sparked a debate between those who were enthusiastic about Crocs and others who admired the traditional style.
One person said: Do I find it kind of odd? Well maybe! But it is her wedding, and she is free to dress however she chooses. Some people, like Pamela Anderson, got married barefoot on the beach. Who cares? That was her wedding and her choice!
A second wrote: What a good idea. I went to a wedding a few years ago, and during the evening, the girls (guests) were all offered flip-flops to wear. We were so grateful.
While a third commented: They may be ugly, but by the way, they are comfy!!! Her day is her choice. Get over yourselves, you haters and control freaks.
Someone else said: Ewww, absolutely gross. I don't care if they were designer Crocs; this has to be the worst shoe ever made. They are hideous !!!!!!!
Very tacky. There are plenty of classy, comfortable shoes, such as ballet flats, which would be far better to dance in than Crocs. Another added.
Many thought that the bride and her bridesmaids should wear ballet slippers or hold off on wearing Crocs until after the ceremony if heels were an issue.
However, despite being criticized as 'gross,' the wedding Croc business is developing strongly online.
