Cher, the 'I Got You Babe' singer, has opened up about why she once turned down one of the most iconic faces in music - the King of Rock and Roll.
Even if the 77-year-old could turn back time, she probably wouldn't say yes to him given she's now in a happy relationship with her boyfriend, Alexander Edwards.
Cher has since revealed the reason she said no to Elvis Presley's advances all those years ago.
In an interview with fellow singer Jennifer Hudson on The Jennifer Hudson Show, which premiered on 1 May, Hudson asked about the time Cher 'turned down Elvis'.
Cher responded, "I was nervous and I knew of the people around him. It wasn't that they were bad people, it's just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation. I'm really shy when I'm not working and kind of shy around men."
Cher then explained why she chooses to date younger men.
She said, “I’m really shy when I’m not working and kind of shy around men, and the reason I got with young men is because men my age are older.
Well, now they’re all dead, but before, they were always terrified to approach me, and younger men were the only ones.”
She used to date celebrities such as 61-year-old actor Tom Cruise, 64-year-old Richie Sambora, and 64-year-old Val Kilmer. The singer also dated actor Rob Camiletti when she was 40 and he was 22.
They attended the Oscars together in 1998 when Cher won the award for "Best Actress" for her role in Moonstruck.
The couple made their first official appearance as a couple at the Versace 2023 fashion show. Singer Cher, 77 years old, is dating music producer Alexander Edwards, 38 years old.
Alexander is nearly 40 years younger than Cher. The two met each other at Paris Fashion Week in France in September 2022 and quickly became a couple.
