In a heartbreaking incident, a Chihuahua was discovered inside a bag left at the doors of a pet adoption center.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the resilient Chihuahua is now receiving care and attention, offering a glimmer of hope for a better future.
Recently, an employee of the Oklahoma Humane Association, also known as OK Humane, accidentally found a poor Chihuahua dog inside a bag tied to the door of the animal adoption center.
Roshelle Anderson, the person who discovered the dog, said he did not see anyone outside or contact information except for the small dog hiding inside the bag.
Anderson said the dog may have been left for a long time in the extreme heat of Oklahoma City.
During holiday weekends, temperatures in this place can reach a minimum of 70 degrees to a maximum of 93 degrees.
Due to the hot weather, the dog seemed exhausted when rescuers found him. The dog has now been examined and cared for without any other health problems.
However, adopting a dog is difficult for the pet adoption center at this time.
Anderson shared that several local animal shelters have closed due to the spread of canine flu, causing OK Humane to receive large numbers of abandoned pets.
However, OK Humane Pet Adoption Center expressed they cannot accept any more pets at this time because the spread of dog flu could affect the remaining pets in the center.
OK Humane also stated in a post that the center is not a shelter so it cannot accept large numbers of pets at this time. Most of them depend on the community and fosters.
Currently, the Center is asking for help from fosters to adopt abandoned animals to reduce the number of pets left behind at the center.
Previously, a rescue center in North Carolina also encountered a similar situation when they discovered a small cage covered with a blanket and a letter placed next to it by a homeless man.
Inside the small cage were five orphaned puppies after their mother passed away in a traffic accident not long ago.
The homeless man accepted help from the mother dog and searched for her baby to bring to the animal rescue center.
In the touching letter, the homeless man begged for help from the center and expressed his helplessness when he could not afford to adopt them.
The dogs were later taken care of and found a new home thanks to the homeless man's help.
The staff here are also looking for this homeless man to help him the same way he saved the lives of these 5 little creatures.
