Coachella, a famous music festival, is in trouble as they have to pay a big fine of $28,000.
The reason for the fine is reportedly caused by Lana Del Rey, a famous singer when she broke an important rule during her performance at the festival.
Although people think of Coachella as a festival with lots of freedom in music, there are still rules that everyone must follow when performing at this event.
Lana Del Rey just found this out when she finished her performance on the second weekend of the festival.
Coachella was fined $28,000 as Lana Del Rey broke the golden rule during her performance.
At first glance, this may not seem like a serious violation. However, Coachella has a contractual agreement with the city of Indio, which implies significant fines for each minute that exceeds the curfew.
The city authorities have revealed that Coachella gets fined $20,000 each day if they go over the curfew by more than five minutes.
After that, they have to pay an extra $1,000 for every additional minute.
As a result, Lana Del Rey's performance went over by 13 minutes, leading to a significant fine of $28,000.
Instead, they praised and admired Lana Del Rey for performing an unforgettable show at this year's Coachella.
She performed 19 songs in total, and even had a surprise duet with Camila Cabello on her new song, 'I LUV IT.'
Remarkably, this fine was the only fine from the second weekend of Coachella, and no further fines were reported for the organizers.
So, it was not a 'big deal' for the organizers.
Last year, famous British DJ Calvin Harris faced a similar situation when he exceeded his limited performance time.
However, Harris made sure to give his fans an extraordinary show, compensating for the delay and leaving a lasting impression.
