A couple with 4 children revealed that they are 'stronger than ever' after agreeing to grant each other the freedom to engage with other partners.
Zoe Grey, 31, and her partner Matt, 36, have found that the key to their happy and robust relationship is allowing each other to sleep with other people.
Initiating the discussion about an open relationship, former soldier Matt, who had experienced infidelity in past relationships, started the conversation with Zoe.
Zoe readily agreed, and she openly acknowledges that she has never experienced a healthier relationship.
Zoe explains that the reason for their strong bond lies in their open relationship dynamic. Allowing each other to sleep with other people has effectively eradicated concerns of infidelity, dishonesty, and secretive behavior.
Zoe said: "It's different to any other relationship I have ever been in, but I have never been in a happier relationship. There is so much trust between us. The fact we can have fun with other people eliminates the worry of cheating, lying, and sneaking around. The connection we have together is so strong, and our relationship is so solid. We go to events and have fun with other people together. We don't go off separately with others."
The concept of an open relationship arose when Matt proposed to Zoe that she could connect with other men, on the condition that she shared her experiences with him. He had experienced being cheated on by girlfriends during his time in the army
Matt was forthright about his desire to address these concerns through an open relationship arrangement.
Zoe continued: "After a couple of months of doing this, I told Matt that I also wanted him to have fun with other women and let me know about it, and now we have a fully open relationship and have fun with other people together. At first, he was shocked that I wanted him to do it too. It was alien territory for him, and he was nervous when we first went to a club, but now we have the most amazing relationship and we are happier than we have ever been."
Subsequently, the couple chose to fully embrace an open relationship, allowing them to engage with other individuals and enjoy themselves.
She explained: "The fact we can have fun with other people eliminates the worry of cheating, lying, and sneaking around. The connection we have together is so strong, and our relationship is so solid."
Initially, they began their journey by utilizing an online platform, enabling Zoe to connect with other men, and Matt then to meet other women. They even started going to clubs to meet people.
She continued: "Now, we very much just go to clubs and private events. We go to the events together and play together at the events. We don't separate when we're there,"
They make sure both the same page and they established a set of guidelines for meeting with new partners.
Zoe explained: "When we first started doing it, we had a rule of no kissing other people as it felt a lot more intimate, but over time this has changed, and now we are both open to kissing other people.
"Our main ground rules now are that we both have to find the other couple or person attractive, being safe, and using protection."
