It continued twitching due to active neurons reacting to the sodium ions found in salt and soy sauce.

This reaction causes the muscles in the meat to contract, making it appear as though it's still alive and moving.

Some viewers speculated that the meat in the video came from a frog.

Viewers explained the hopping movement of the frog meat, suggesting that the footage could have originated from a restaurant practicing 'ikizukuri,' a method of preparing live seafood.

One person said: Oh hell no. I ain't eating anything I have to chase around the table. That's just gross. I also see a turtle!!

A second wrote: So they skinned a turtle and then laughed as it tried to survive, some people are sick... very sick in the head.

While a third commented: Omg that's really upsetting, the more I watch it the more it looks like a skinned turtle or frog but still alive.

Another said: That I'm afraid to say - is some poor Turtle skinned alive and making a dash for survival. Hard to stomach is'nt it!

Someone eles added: On a bright side, this would certainly replace the "doggie bag" - Your left overs could simply follow you home! Ah, Florida, where the state bird is the "Early Bird."

Another wrote: I'm convinced this is a raw, skinned, shelled turtle. Look at the movement. While it could be fake- and I'd rather it was- all I see is a turtle.
