During the awards ceremony, Kimmel commented on the sex scenes in "Poor Things," joking that they were the only parts allowed to be shown on TV.

A viral moment emerged when the camera captured Stone's seemingly unimpressed expression as she turned to her husband to say something.

After the incident, viewers started guessing that Stone had used an offensive word to refer to Kimmel in her reaction.

Some viewers speculated that Emma Stone had said "prank" to refer to Kimmel.

A viewer expressed their opinion on X, stating, "Emma Stone appears to be irritated by Jimmy Kimmel's joke about 'Poor Things' and supposedly called him a derogatory term on international television - she's certainly making a bold statement."

Another commenter remarked, "Emma Stone's response to Jimmy Kimmel's jest regarding the limited TV-appropriate scenes from 'Poor Things' is absolutely priceless. She clearly understands the shallowness of that remark."

Emma Stone finally achieved the highest award for this year's Oscar.

Despite people speculating about Stone's reaction, Kimmel's joke ended up having the opposite effect.

"Poor Things" went on to win four Oscars that evening, including Stone's Best Actress award for her role as Bella Baxter. This was her second victory in the category, following her win for "La La Land" in 2017.

Stone agreed and described herself as someone who doesn't get upset easily. This implies that even if she had a negative reaction to Kimmel's comment, she probably didn't consider it a significant issue.
