When wildfires separated a baby sloth from its mother, it was a devastating event as baby animals heavily rely on their mothers for protection and survival until they are independent.
As a result, it was extremely difficult for them to live their lives normally.
Due to wildfires that hit Bolivia, a mama sloth and her baby were forced to flee to a nearby town. Unfortunately, they were separated when unfriendly dogs chased them along the way.
The baby sloth was found by veterinarian Marco Greminger, who realized the baby had been separated from its family. He searched the area and found the mama sloth in a tree 300 feet away.
After finding the separated baby sloth's mother, Marco Greminger placed the baby near her to see if they would recognize each other.
The heartwarming moment was captured on video as the mother sloth joyfully embraced and kissed her child. Greminger later shared the touching reunion video online, allowing people to witness the depth of a mother's love.
After being reunited, the mama and baby sloth were taken to a nearby veterinary clinic for a check-up, which showed that they were both in good health.
They will be released back into the wild in the future. You can watch the heartwarming reunion video below.
