A dentist named Monica Davis, who runs a business called The Veneer Experts, is facing serious accusations.
Patients claim that she gave them fake braces, causing their teeth to deteriorate.
This has raised concerns about patient safety and the need for better regulations in dentistry.
The alleged incidents took place in both Las Vegas and Illinois, and Davis is now under investigation for illegal dentistry practices.
The report states that Davis had already faced charges of operating without a license in Las Vegas, and now she is being accused of similar illegal activities in Illinois.
Many patients have spoken out, saying that Davis put fake braces on them, which caused serious dental issues and decay in their teeth.
Monica Bailey, a patient who went to see Davis with her teenage daughter, described her encounter.
She stated that she received fake braces from Davis shortly after she was released from custody in Nevada.
Initially, Bailey believed the procedure was done correctly.
However, when she tried to reach out to Davis, she discovered that her phone numbers were no longer in service.
Bailey expressed her frustration, emphasizing that Davis appeared to have no concern for the consequences, despite facing charges in Las Vegas.
Another patient, Ralph Jones, reported that he had received veneers from Davis which began to deteriorate and fall out over time.
Jones expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that the veneers were supposed to last a decade but ended up causing significant damage to his teeth and appearance.
He also mentioned waking up one day to discover a chipped tooth, further adding to his concerns.
When approached for comment, Davis reportedly hung up the phone twice when questioned about the procedures she performed in Illinois.
Additionally, staff members at The Veneer Experts were asked to vacate their office in Schaumburg, Illinois, following numerous complaints from dissatisfied customers.
According to CBS 2 reports, Davis is scheduled to appear in court in Las Vegas in May for her next hearing.
Additionally, it is expected that she will soon face a judge in Illinois as well.
