Gorilla embraces man who rescued her as a baby during her last moments

In 2007, a Virunga National Park ranger rescued a 2-month-old gorilla, Ndakasi, in the Congo wilderness.

She was discovered hugging the body of her mother, whose life was taken by thieves. Before long, upon arriving at the orphanage, the gorilla met Andre Bauma, a caretaker at the park's gorilla orphanage.

He took care of Ndakasi and he spent the night holding her in his arms, comforting her. Thanks to Andre and other wonderful people, Ndakasi began to live a beautiful life.

In 2019, very interesting photos of Andre and Ndakasi appeared on the Internet.

After 14 years of life, this gorilla unfortunately left this world due to illness. Her final moments were spent with her closest friend.

The park wrote that Ndakasi, in the loving arms of her caretaker and lifelong friend Andre Bauma, took her last breath.

Ndakasi passed away in the loving arms of his benefactor. Ndakasi can be said to be gone, but she won't be forgotten anytime soon.

Hope for orphaned gorillas like her will be sustained by the ongoing efforts of those who provided her with a second chance at a joyful life.
