Shaz Hussien, who lives in Western Australia, captured a video in 2020 that recently went viral after being shared on Reddit. The footage captures the object traversing the night sky, leaving a green glow.
In the video, Hussien can be heard expressing her amazement, exclaiming, 'What the f***!?' as she records the sight. In the background, a stunned man adds, 'That's a f****** asteroid.'
The video garnered attention on social media, with numerous individuals sharing comments and expressing their astonishment.

A second wrote: UFO for sure.
A third commenter with some knowledge of the night sky: I saw one like this one when I was 12, it was a rock, flaming, slow-moving, and gigantic. It was so close that we could see the craggy rock formation within the flame.
Awesome!!! Haven't seen one like that for 20 years. Back then no mobile phones and I was traveling through Marble Bar when me and a few mates saw one exactly like it. wrote someone.
Another added: We did see something similar last night around 10 pm in the sky above Nelson Bay. Took us by surprise not enough time to get the camera or take a photo.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the mysterious green glow is caused by the object Asteroid 2002 NN4, which was reportedly passing close to Earth.
According to reports, despite being approximately 570 meters wide and located about 5.2 million kilometers away from Earth, the asteroid managed to create a spectacular light show.
