During a brief arraignment, Timberlake's driving privileges in New York were suspended for a year, but he was released without bail. He was spotted leaving the court in a baseball cap, looking shell-shocked.
On Monday night, Timberlake had been drinking with friends at the American Hotel bar in Sag Harbor.
Around 12:30 am, he decided to drive his BMW X7, a decision that led to his arrest. Officers on the scene reported that Timberlake's vehicle was veering across the road, prompting them to intervene.
According to the police report, Timberlake exhibited several signs of intoxication. His eyes were described as "bloodshot and glassy," and there was a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
The report said: "“His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests".
