A male news presenter couldn't help but laugh as he observed the police sketch during the live broadcast.
The sketch, deemed unprofessional and cartoonish, was intended to depict a suspect involved in a robbery. The host's amusement was shown as he tried to stay calm, leading to a humorous moment on air.
Recently, an NBC news program reported on a robbery at a Lancaster, Pennsylvania store in 2018 and how they arrested the robber through a police officer's sketch.
Ethan Forhetz was in charge of a news reporter covering this incident on live TV.
After recounting the incident, Forhetz reported how the police caught the robber. It was through a sketch of a police officer.
Forhetz then led everyone towards the screen to watch the sketch of the robber before he actually witnessed the amusing sketch in person.
The sketch of the robber was immediately shown on a screen behind him. Forhetz turned around and seemed completely surprised by the hilarious sketch.
In the video, the host seemed silent and tried not to laugh for a while before he turned around and smiled happily at the camera.
Forhetz continued his work with a slurred voice: "Okay, this is the guy they're... uh... they want the people of Pennsylvania to be on the lookout for."
The host also caused laughter when he continued to describe the robber in detail including hair, nose, and chin.
The host also said that the robber was arrested by the police thanks to this sketch.
The robber, identified as Hung Phuoc Nguyen, is currently being held at a Lancaster prison for two counts of theft.
The Lancaster Police Department stated on a Crime Watch blog that the sketch appeared unprofessional and cartoonish. Still, it helped an officer recall the robber's appearance, assisting in his arrest.
