Man lets over $1M slip away after cashing out too early before winning a bet

In a sad story, a football fan named Ethan Conway missed out on a huge  $1.015 million win. He made a mistake by cashing out too early on his bet.

Instead of winning the big prize, he only received a much smaller amount. This incident has caught the attention of sports fans everywhere.

Ethan's wager consisted of three Premier League fixtures during the final day of the 2023/24 season. 

On the final day of the season, there was a lot of excitement. Manchester City won their fourth consecutive title, which was a record-breaking achievement. 

However, they had a scary moment in the first half when West Ham scored a goal just before half-time, reducing City's lead to one goal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, who were in second place, lost to Everton initially but managed to come back and win 2-1. 

However, it didn't make a difference because Manchester City's victory meant they finished two points ahead at the top of the league when the game ended.

Remarkably, Ethan didn't place his bet on those particular games. Instead, he chose teams that were lower in the league standings.

With a stroke of luck, he had accurately predicted the outcomes of Brighton 0-2 Manchester United, Liverpool 2-0 Wolves, and Sheffield United 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur.

These correct predictions alone would have earned him an astonishing $1.015.840 on his 3717/1 bet.

However, Ethan's nerves got the best of him and he decided to cash out early.

In the 73rd minute of the game between Manchester United and Brighton, he decided to cash out early. 

Later in the game, a player named Rasmus Højlund came off the bench and scored a fantastic goal with his weaker right foot, helping Manchester United secure a 2-0 win.
