In a YouTube video titled "7 years no shampoo results," uploaded earlier this year, Aidan, with a subscriber base of 14.8k, documented his scalp and hair condition after abstaining from shampoo for an extended period.

The three-minute clip began with Aidan explaining that he would provide an overdue update on his scalp, emphasizing that he had refrained from using both shampoo and conditioner for over six years.

Before taking this experiment, Aidan showcased footage of his scalp when he was using anti-dandruff shampoo regularly.

The images revealed inflammation, irritation, and dry, flaky patches.

To address this issue, Aidan decided to quit shampoo altogether, seeking an alternative solution to improve his scalp health.

The results he obtained from this unconventional approach were remarkable.

Aidan shared that the flakes on his scalp cleared up rapidly after he stopped using shampoo.

As his hair grew back after being shaved at the beginning of his experiment, he noticed that its quality had actually improved compared to when he was using shampoo.

Six years later, Aidan's hair remained in excellent condition, and he proudly declared that his scalp was pristine, devoid of any flakes.

His current hair care routine involves washing his hair once a week with cold water, which he claims works perfectly for him.

Addressing concerns about greasiness, Aidan explained that the problem of excessive oiliness is often caused by shampoo itself.

When shampoo is used, it strips away the natural oils produced by the scalp called sebum, prompting the scalp to produce more sebum to compensate.

Encouraging others to give this unconventional method a try, Aidan admitted that he couldn't determine exactly how long it would take for the greasiness to subside, but he believed it was worth persevering with.

He emphasized that shampoo usage had created a cycle of stripping away natural oils and triggering increased oil production, a problem that could be alleviated by breaking free from shampoo dependency.

She emphasizes that these bottles are not securely sealed, making them susceptible to tampering.

The expert demonstrates how the pump lids of the bottles can be easily removed, allowing previous guests to put anything they want inside.

The expert expresses concern that previous guests could have placed harmful substances such as hair color or bleach in these bottles. Therefore, she strongly advises against using the hotel-provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Instead, she suggests that travelers bring their own toiletries or request a fresh set or mini versions from the front desk.
