Have you ever wondered what would happen if you ordered a McDonald's burger with everything removed? On social media, a user named Greg (who goes by @greg16676935420) conducted a wacky experiment to find out.
Greg, a social media user primarily known for his memes, decided to conduct this unusual experiment at his local McDonald's branch.
The post documented his order of a triple chessburger with obsolutely everything removed.
The Geg's McDonald's experience gained attention on social media.
Greg's experiment began as he ordered a triple heeseburger through the DoorDssh app, which typically includes ketchup, mustard, pickles, diced onions, three beef patties, American cheese, and salt.
The total for this unconventional order initially came to $5.39, but after adding a $3 service fee, 42 cents in tax, and an $11 tip for the delivery driver, the price soared to $19.81. Quite a hefty amount for an empty burger!
Well, this is a unique order, alright? Imagine paying a hefty price for a burger that, in essence, doesn't even exist!
After placing the order, Greg shared his anticipation on social media.
Greg humorously hopes that his local McDonald's won’t mess up his order as they “usually do.”
However, Greg was stunned after realizing his unique order was accepted.
According to Greb, Dan, the delivery driver, was tasked with fulfilling it.
Dan, understandably puzzled by the order, contacted Greg to confirm, asking, "Cheeseburger with everything removed including the bun and meat...so you're gonna get an empty box. You good with that?" Greg affirmed, "Perfect, thank you," and awaited his unusual meal.
However, Greg assured Dan that this was correct, and the delivery process continued.
Upon receiving his order, Greg shared a photo of the sealed McDonald's delivery bag on social media. The moment of truth came when he opened the bag to find a McDonald's burger wrapper and a McCrispy box.
Greg realized that his unique order was a mess
He joked: "I ordered a freaking triple burger, not a McCrispy. Somehow they still managed to screw up my order (not your fault Dan if you’re reading this)."
Despite his clear instructions, Greg found that his order had been mixed up.
Unwilling to let this slide, he gave McDonald's a two-star rating and left feedback about the mix-up. However, he made sure to give his delivery driver, Dan, a full five-star rating.
One person said: I always order with just ketchup and cheese and get a hamburger with my requests!
A second wrote: I ordered at hamburger at mcdonalds for my son. He wanted only ketchup on his burger. I kinda removed everything except ketchup - so he got bread and ketchup. Had to pay the same as for a burger with meat
While a third commented: So he paid almost $20 for an empty bag. Hmm, seems like I need to contact him about some real estate I own.
Another added: All they had to do was put a triple cheeseburger box inside a bag. They gave him a McCrispy box. Even with such an unusual order McDonald's stays consistent.
Someone else said: I see he also got a triple cheeseburger wrap/sheet which means he actually got his order + McCrispy. So restaurant made good job
While Greg's experiment may not have had a world-changing impact, it certainly provided some entertainment and insight into the McDonald's ordering process.
