Man sues Dunkin' Donuts as toilet exploded on him

A man is suing Dukin's Donuts after alleging a toilet at a Florida outlet exploded on him.

According to the lawsuit filed in Florida’s 9th Judicial District on Wednesday, Kerouac has initiated legal action against Dunkin' Donuts, alleging that an incident at a Florida outlet caused a toilet to explode while he was doing his business, resulting in significant distress and being covered in waste.

According to the lawsuit, Kerouac said that he emerged from the restroom after the explosion and covered it in debris, including human feces and urine.

Kerouac immediately found the men's toilet room, and then Kerouac sought assistance from the coffee shop's employees and managers to address the aftermath of the incident. Disturbingly, he claims that the workers acknowledged being aware of existing "problems with the toilet."

In his legal complaint, Kerouac is seeking $50,000 in damages and legal fees from the coffee giant. After the ‘traumatic’ toilet explosion, Kerouas was reported to have suffered bodily injury, psychological damages, permanent and significant emotional injury, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, and expenses related to medical care and treatment.

According to the lawsuit, he "requires mental health care and counseling as a direct result of the trauma he experienced in the restroom at the defendant’s building and from the continuing trauma following the event.”
