On the day Meta launched its Twitter rival, Threads, Mark Zuckerberg made his first tweet in 11 years, taking a playful jab at Elon Musk in the process.

In a tweet on Wednesday night, Zuckerberg shared a photo of the well-known Spider-Man meme, pointing at another Spider-Man.
Mark Zuckerberg, the 39-year-old CEO of Meta, broke his 11-year Twitter silence with a tweet on Wednesday night. He marked his first post since January 2012 when he promoted a now-deleted Facebook post.
Without any accompanying text, however, Zuckerberg's recent tweet featuring the Spider-Man meme raises suspicions that he and Musk are the two men in Spider-Man costumes pointing at each other.
On Wednesday, Meta launched Threads in more than 100 countries. The app is a highly-anticipated Twitter rival that will allow users to write text posts up to 500 characters long, plus photos and videos up to five minutes long.

Like its Twitter counterpart, Threads allows users to engage with posts through liking, reposting, and replying. However, the platform does not currently support direct messaging features.

While Threads is introduced as a standalone app, users can log in with their Instagram credentials and follow the same accounts.
In just seven hours since its roll out, Threads attracted more than 10 million users, including seven highly-followed Twitter accounts.
According to Insider, Notable personalities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Gates, Shakira, and US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, with Twitter followings of 75.4 million, 62.9 million, 53.8 million, and 13.3 million respectively, already made the jump to the new platform.
The confrontation came two weeks after Musk, 52, challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight. After rumors that Meta plans to build a Twitter-like social media platform - Threads.
The possibility of a direct confrontation between Musk and Zuckerberg remains uncertain. The ongoing rivalry between the two tech moguls supposedly unfolded behind closed doors for several years.
