During a trip to northern Norway, 24-year-old photographer Mads Nordsveen from Oslo accidentally captured an extremely rare snow-white reindeer.
The photographer posted an image of a snow-white reindeer on Instagram, with the caption: "The beautiful little reindeer almost disappeared in the snow thanks to its special colored fur."
The photo quickly received thousands of likes and shares.
The snow-white reindeer is not afraid and is very friendly. It curiously looked straight into the lens as if posing for a photo. Mads Nordsveen said.
Its coat color is pure white like snowflakes, just like a mythical creature out of a fairy tale.
In the cold environment with heavy snow cover, this white reindeer's amazing mythical beauty really helps it hide extremely effectively.
White reindeer are considered very rare. That is not the case with albinism. This special white coat is caused by a genetic mutation. Therefore, even though the entire coat color loses pigment, the reindeer's eye color remains the same.
After a few, the mother of the white reindeer appeared. Seeing her mother, the white reindeer circled her new friends a few times to say goodbye and run back to her mother.
