OceanGate still advertising Titanic trips after the ‘catastrophic implosion’ of Titan sub

After the wreckage of the "Titan" submersible was salvaged on June, 8 on Canadian shores. OceanGate  Expeditions is still advertising trips deep-sea expeditions to the Titanic wreckage.

Only 10 days after the tragic event occurred, on its website, the OceanGate announce the new journey to the wreckage, lost their lives all five aboard.

According to the website, the undersea exploration company offers two expeditions to the Titanic in 2024,  from June 12-20 and June 21-29. It has priced at $250,000 per person.

According to OceanGate, its cost includes one submersible dive,  private accommodations, mandatory training, expedition gear, and all meals while the board. 

According to the listing, the initial day of the expedition takes place in Newfoundland, Canada.

“Arrive in the seaside city of St. John’s to meet your expedition crew and board the vessel that will take you to the wreck of the RMS Titanic,” 

“You’ll familiarize yourself with life on a working vessel as we begin the 400-nautical-mile journey to the wreck site.”

On the second day, the company's continue itinerary involves a North Atlantic voyage to reach the dive site. Followed by a four-day mission aboard the Titan submersible to explore the wreckage situated at a depth of 12,500 feet. 

According to the company, "The content expert onboard will point out key features, be they of the wreck itself or the life that calls this corner of the ocean home."

"Enjoy hours of exploring the wreck and debris field before making the two-hour ascent to the surface."

On June 18, OceanGate's Titan submersible carrying five passengers to explore the wreck of the Titanic was confirmed to have a catastrophic explosion, killing five people.

 After more than 10 days after a disaster, on June 28 (local time), a series of debris belonging to the submersible Titan was unloaded from the ship "Horizon Arctic" in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Confirmed debris includes a window and a large patch on the hull.

According to the report, the US Coast Guard has revealed the discovery of "presumed human remains" within the debris that was retrieved from the wreckage of the doomed Titan submersible.

According to Reuters, U.S. medical experts will also "conduct a formal analysis of alleged human remains carefully recovered from the wreckage at the event site"

Five victims included: OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, British Explorer Hamish Harding, and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
