A viral video comparing the new iPad Pro to the 2018 model has gained attention.

The video, posted online, juxtaposes the 2018 iPad Pro with Apple's brand-new 2024 iPad Pro.

One of the most noticeable upgrades on the 2024 iPad Pro is its OLED screen.

Unlike traditional screens that use a backlight, OLED technology offers a clearer picture and more vibrant colors while consuming less power. However, this technology also contributes to the higher cost of the new model.

The video also showed notable differences between the 2018 and 2024 models in terms of price and features.

About the price: The latest iPad Pro starts at $999 for the base model.

About the premium features: For those seeking the ultimate experience, the fully loaded iPad Pro can cost up to $2,599 before tax, including features like two terabytes of storage, nano-texture glass, and cellular connectivity.

The video quickly went viral and sparked debate among tech enthusiasts on social media.

In the comment selection, many users question whether the upgrades are worth the significant price increase. Some argue that the enhancements do not justify replacing a perfectly functional 2018 model.

On the other hand, some users are particularly impressed by the OLED screen's fast pixel response time, which offers a smoother scrolling experience. This feature has swayed a portion of the audience towards considering an upgrade.

One person said: Watching this on my 2018 iPad like, I cant see any difference?

A second wrote: It depends on what you use them for, basic web browsing and light gaming won't warrent an upgrade.

While a third commented: I love tech commercials. They show the difference on screens that can’t show the difference

Another said: honestly it just depends what you use it for, most things work totally fine on an old iPad. I have a newer 2020 version which works great for me as an illustrator, but I have family who still use older models to great effect, so it all depends what you need it for.

Previously, Apple faced backlash for an advertisement promoting the new iPad Pro, which depicted creative tools such as musical instruments and sculptures being destroyed. The controversial ad drew criticism, leading to an apology from Apple.

The debate over the 2024 iPad Pro boils down to individual preferences and priorities. If you value the latest features, such as the new model's OLED screen, you might consider upgrading. However, for users satisfied with the performance of their 2018 iPad Pro, the improvements may not justify the substantial cost.
