Pink fans outraged after being asked to purchase $120 ticket for a newborn to attend concert.
An Australian Pink fan recently expressed their frustration after being informed that they would need to buy a $120 concert ticket for their newborn to attend the singer's concert in Sydney.
They were concerned about their nine-week-old baby, who wouldn't require a separate seat after they were informed that they had to buy a $120 ticket for a newborn.
The couple, who remain anonymous, had purchased their tickets early in 2023 to attend the Pink concert. However, they now have a new addition to the family who is nine weeks old. So, the couple wants to bring their baby together to attend the concert.
To attend the Pink concert, which occurred at the Accor Stadium in Sydney's Olympic Park (March 16), they couple contacted Accor via Facebook Messenger to inquire about bringing a nappy bag into the stadium.
“Can you tell me whether we will be allowed to bring a nappy bag?" he wrote. "Also, just confirming she won’t need a ticket?”
Then he was shocked after responding: “There is no issue bringing a nappy bag, but all attendees must have a ticket to enter, regardless of age.”
As a report, the ticket is priced $120 USD. The man pointed out that the event was already sold out and emphasized that the child wouldn't require a separate seat.
However, the stadium representative reiterated the age policy set by the promoter for the show.
The man expressed his disappointment after they were forced to purchase a ticket for their baby.
In the interview with the 7NEW, the man expressed: "We found it disgraceful that a baby had to purchase a ticket when they were going to be in a baby carrier or on my sister’s chest."
One person said: Please do not subject a newborn to Pink. Take a newborn to a Dolly or Reba concert.
A second wrote: First of all dont think it’s a good idea to be bringing a newborn to a concert like that. Like stay home and enjoy the newborn stage
While a third commented: Why would you take a newborn to a concert?
Another said: So you’re gonna take a new born to a loud concert ?
Following the public outcry over the incident, Accor reversed its decision and allowed the baby entry to the concert free of charge.
On its website, Accor states children under the age of three may be admitted free of charge to 'most sporting events', but does not specify its policy for concerts online.
