Captured by Fox 11's SkyFox during the late afternoon in the Encino neighborhood, the dramatic bee attack unfolded before the camera lens.
Around 4 p.m., a uniformed volunteer from the Los Angeles Police Department was caught in the chaotic situation as he hurriedly attempted to enter his parked car. The swarm of bees descended upon him, causing him to panic.
In the footage, the man can be observed swatting vigorously at the buzzing insects surrounding his face while desperately trying to distance himself from their relentless assault.
Enduring multiple stings, the volunteer's stability wavers, causing him to topple and collide with the unforgiving asphalt, resulting in cuts.
In the subsequent scenes, the man displays signs of mobility as he fights to regain his footing, his legs in motion, and his determination evident.
Following the incident, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the volunteer, who had endured dozens of bee stings, was admitted to the hospital. It was a relief to learn that his condition remained stable.
As per the Los Angeles Fire Department, a separate individual working on a nearby house also experienced numerous bee stings.
In response, the police implemented a neighborhood lockdown, instructing residents to remain indoors with all doors and windows tightly closed until bee handlers could arrive to safely eliminate the swarming insects.
