A priest named Gerald Johnson has claimed that he had a horrifying experience when he nearly died in 2016. According to Johnson's account, after suffering a heart attack, this priest went on to visit hell.
Johnson said he saw demons singing the songs of singer Rihanna, especially her hit "Umbrella". They were also singing "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin.
Johnson believes the music sung by the demons was meant to torment and torture the souls suffering in hell.
Remarkably, this priest stated that he wouldn't wish this on his worst enemy
Johnson said that instead of being taken to heaven as he had hoped, he plunged down to hell. He felt immense fear and horror at witnessing what was happening in this place.
"My spirit left my physical body and I thought that I was going upwards because I thought I had done so much good in this lifetime and helped so many people and basically made decisions that were godly decisions.
"As opposed to going up I went down. There was a section in hell where music was playing and it was the same music that you hear on the Earth, but as opposed to entertainers singing it, demons were singing it."
The priest shared in a TikTok video that he was shocked when he was not allowed into Heaven even though he lived as a man of God.
After entering the fiery depths, he faced cruel punishments fitting for his place in Hell. This included being tormented by demonic versions of Rihanna's Umbrella and Bobby McFerrins's Don't Worry Be Happy.
Johnson said his strange experience should warn those who enjoy popular music instead of hymns and prayers.
As well as being forced to listen to hit songs in the fiery inferno, he also claimed to have seen a man being burned alive.
'What I saw was too much to describe, it makes me emotional,' he said.
'The man's eyes were wide open, and he had chains around his neck... a demon was holding the chain.'
After being brought back to life, the pastor now believes his experience shows that popular music is the underworld's way to control people before they die.
'On Earth, a lot of the lyrics and music are inspired by demons. People come into contact with demons who give them lyrics to control people on Earth,' he declared.
According to the pastor, his experience has shown him that Hell is a real place, and people send themselves there, not God.
However, his claims about this experience have not been proven true. Many may doubt the truthfulness of his descriptions, as this is a very sensitive and complex topic.
Many have commented that "hell needs some new songs" and hope the singer will soon release a new album.
Rihanna has not made any official announcement about releasing a new album, although she had promised the "R9" album by the end of 2023.
If my preacher dies and goes to hell why am I going to his next sermon? One user joked.
I'm glad I took the time to listen to him myself. He's right. I believe his experience. The devil was once an angel of music. It's a lot of messages in music that plays on our subconscious and the bible says to forgive, the second expressed their belief in Johnson's claims.
Whatever this priest took he needs to stop taking it, the third user said.
Amen, in a world full of disbelief and gossips, it's because of people like him that I don't lose my faith in humoranity, another commented.
The question is, why did a priest ended up in hell, another wrote.
