A lively discussion has emerged on social media among snack enthusiasts, especially those intrigued by Pringles. The focal point of this debate is whether the name of the green Pringles tubes - 'Pringles Sour Cream & Onion' - has been altered.
This debate started when numerous aficionados of the crispy chips took to platforms like Reddit and TikTok to claim that the green tube did, in fact, have a different name in the past.
However, despite their dedicated research efforts, these Pringles fans admitted to being unable to find any online evidence of the name change, leaving them in a state of confusion.
One crisp muncher wrote on Reddit: "None of my friends believe the flavor was ever called 'Sour cream and Chive'.
"It's now called 'Sour Cream and Onion Pringles.'
"I thought I could easily disprove it by doing a Google image search but nothing...now it's 3 a.m. and I look like a confused fool. I'm starting to doubt myself."
In addition to the Pringles fan, another snacker also voiced their thoughts on TikTok, posing a question: "Am I going insane or did these used to be called 'Sour Cream and Chive'.
"[...] I was eating them and I didn't pay much attention to the packaging and I was like, 'These taste different'. And that's when I looked at the pot. 'Sour Cream and Onion' I swear these were 'Sour Cream and Chive' when I was younger and they used to have green flakes on them."
According to Pringles' official website, the green tube of the crisp is definitely called: "Pringles Sour Cream & Onion."
