The authorities in Los Angeles are left scratching their heads after a record-setting $30 million bank heist.

On Easter Sunday, while families celebrated, a team of skilled thieves executed a record-breaking heist in Southern California.

According to reports, the thieves executed a record-setting $30 million bank heist from a money storage facility in the San Fernando Valley.

This theft has left the authorities baffled, and FBI officials are now involved.

According to a report, the FBI has joined the LAPD in their investigation of this baffling crime.  However, the details of how the thieves infiltrated the facility and bypassed security measures remain unclear.

According to reports, a group of thieves executed a daring heist in Southern California, allegedly stealing $30 million from a money storage facility. 

The theft, which occurred on Sunday night (31 March), targeted a money storage facility in the San Fernando Valley, where funds from businesses across the region are processed and stored.

Surprisingly, the theft wasn't discovered until the following day when workers arrived and found the vault empty. This prompted them to contact authorities.

The record-breaking theft case left the police baffled. 

Sources familiar with the investigation told the Los Angeles Times that the thieves may have entered the building through the roof.

They were then able to gain access to the vault, although how they did so without triggering the alarm remains a mystery. Authorities don't yet know how the thieves knew the large amount of cash was stored at the facility.

Additionally, it's unclear how the thieves knew a large amount of money was stored in a safe at the facility. The theft was discovered when the operators opened the safe the next day, prompting them to notify authorities.

Detectives believe the heist was carried out by a well-trained team with experience bypassing security systems.  Aerial footage captured a possible entry point on the side of the building, but its connection to the heist remains unconfirmed.

This is the largest cash heist in the city's history

Law enforcement sources have classified this as one of the largest cash burglaries in Los Angeles history. The previous record was set in 1997 when $18.9 million was stolen from a Dunbar Armored facility.

Officials from the LAPD have declined to comment on the ongoing investigation. However, the FBI has confirmed their involvement in the case

Authorities are actively investigating the Easter Sunday heist and hope to apprehend the perpetrators soon.
