Pete Sampras is known as the tennis icon of his remarkable career. He has won a total of 14 Grand Slam titles and was even recognized as the best player in tennis.

However, in 2002, he retired, much to the regret of his fans, after his last Grand Slam victory.

Sampras is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. 

Sampras' personal life was challenged at the age of 52

Now, at the age of 52, Sampras has maintained a notoriously private life, avoiding the spotlight of press communication. Many of his fans were heartbroken after he revealed that his wife, Bridgette, is battling ovarian cancer.

Sampras made this revelation about his wife Bridgette's battle with ovarian cancer three months ago.

In October, during an interview with the ATP Tour, Sampras shocked his fans by overcoming the challenges he and his family faced.

He shared that he has been a fairly quiet and private person over the past year. Now, he has opened up about what his family has been through during all these years. 

Sampras revealed that his wife was faced with the challenge of ovarian cancer in December of the previous year.

In the interview, he shared that his wife,  Bridgette, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December of the previous year.

He continued the heartbreaking revelation that his wife was faced with major surgery, chemotherapy, and targeted maintenance therapy. 

Witnessing a loved one endure such a struggle has undoubtedly been difficult for Sampras. However, he also expressed admiration for their two sons, who "step up and be such strong supporters of Brigette".

Recently, Pete Sampras made a rare public appearance, grabbing coffee from a Starbucks in the Beverly Glen Shopping Center, located in Beverly Hills, California. 

The tennis icon was seen again after a long time of being away from his family's difficulties.

However, the paparazzi were left shocked after witnessing the difference in his appearance. In the picture, the tennis legend was seen dressed in blue jeans and a green zip-up Nike jacket. He was captured carrying three iced coffees as he left the restaurant.

Fans were surprised to see the tennis legend, and it serves as a reminder of his resilience amidst personal struggles.

The paparazzi captured a heartwarming moment as he briefly flashed a smile to onlookers, whom he held in his heart.
