For Murillo, who had dedicated five years of his life to Tesla and had worked his way up to become a production supervisor, this sudden dismissal hit him hard.

The news of his termination reached Murillo through an email he received while on his way to work, which turned out to be a 90-minute commute for him.

The message simply stated that his position had been eliminated due to company restructuring.

When Murillo reached the factory, a security guard took away his badge and broke the news of his termination.

In his LinkedIn post, Murillo not only shared the news of his dismissal but also revealed the sacrifices he had made while working at Tesla.

He admitted to sleeping in his car on work days to avoid the lengthy commute, using the factory facilities for showers, and even microwaving dinner in the break room.

These sacrifices were a testament to his dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for the company.

However, he acknowledged that this chapter of his life was coming to an end and expressed optimism about the future, emphasizing that he was only 29 years old and had much more to contribute to his career.

"I went from Production Associate, to Lead Production Associate, to being a Production Supervisor.

"Starting from the very bottom and worked my way up. Learned a lot of adapting to the ever-changing environment, to working with less but getting more done," he expressed.

Tesla is facing challenges beyond just its Cybertruck.

Murillo's experience is not an isolated case, as Tesla has been reportedly laying off thousands of employees at its Fremont and Palo Alto factories.

The company's decision to reduce its workforce by 10 percent was outlined in documents filed with the California Employment Development Department.

This news came at a time when Tesla's stock value had also dipped by three percent, indicating a challenging period for the company.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, explained that the reduction in workforce is a necessary measure to ensure the company's agility and readiness for future growth.

Although these layoffs are seen as a difficult step, analysts believe that cutting over 14,000 jobs at this juncture poses significant challenges for both Tesla and Musk.
