A Texas man has made headlines by announcing his bid for the presidency under the moniker 'Literally Anybody Else', reflecting a growing dissatisfaction with the current political landscape.
The 35-year-old, formerly known as Dustin Ebey, has launched his own campaign in response to the dissatisfaction among voters with both major political parties.
In a scathing critique of the two-party system, the US Army veteran and seventh-grade math teacher highlighted the need for alternative voices in American politics.
In a statement on his campaign website, "America should not be stuck choosing between the 'King of Debt' (his self-declaration) and an 81-year old.
"Literally Anybody Else isn't a person, it's a rally cry."
Else's aim is not to seriously vie for the White House but to challenge the status quo and advocate for greater representation on the ballot.
To achieve this, he must gather a significant number of signatures from registered voters in Texas who abstained from participating in either party's primaries.
In Texas alone, he needs at least 113,151 signatures, a daunting task but one he's determined to pursue.
Despite the challenges, Else's candidacy offers a third option for disillusioned voters, as indicated by polls showing widespread disapproval of both incumbent Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
