Scooter, a 12-year-old Chihuahua, found a happy, loving home after his owner passed away. When the Humane Society of Chi Chi branches took over Scooter, they discovered that he had suffered a hip injury and was also old, making it difficult to find him a new home.
After his owner's passing, Scooter was sad and slept alone every night, which broke the hearts of many people who saw him cry until he fell asleep.
The shelter staff posted pictures of Scooter on their Facebook page to find him a new owner and the post quickly went viral.
Jessica Lynn Howard, a frequent adopter who had previously rescued other Chihuahuas from shelters, saw the post and was moved by Scooter's story.
She and her husband decided to adopt Scooter and give him a new home.
When Scooter arrived at their home, he was welcomed by their other dogs, and after just a week, he was comfortable and happy with his new family.
Finally, after many misfortunes, Scooter can sleep without sadness and crying.
