Taylor Swift is no exception, with theories ranging from the bizarre reasons behind her Person of The Year award to claims that she's a government 'asset'.
The latest conspiracy theory takes things to a new level, suggesting that Swift is somehow tied to the ‘Antichrist’.
This claim has long circulated on the internet, but it has recently gained traction due to her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce.
A post circulating on social media reads: “A televangelist from Arkansas claims Satan is engineering Taylor Swift’s marriage to Travis Kelce so she can give birth to the antichrist and launch the apocalyptic thousand-year war against Christ. Must she do everything? And during a world tour.”
The televangelist allegedly responsible for this claim remains unnamed, rendering it an unsubstantiated assertion.
Some preacher, somewhere, has made an oddly specific prophetic claim about the music star.
Social media users joked about the ludicrousness of the alleged claim.
One person said: When did they get engaged?? Did I miss the proposal?
A second wrote: When did Travis and Taylor even say they were engaged??
While a third commented: Absolutely - bit much too ask isn't it. Anyway - some believe the antichrist is already with us. Living it up in an expensive country club in Florida...
Ed Kelce, Travis's father, saw the funny side of the claim and responded on Instagram after the post made the rounds on social media.
Writing in the comment section, he joked: “That’s my boy!”, amusing other social media users who also didn’t take the post seriously.
In related news, Travis Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce, recently shared her thoughts on Taylor Swift's latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department' (TTPD), which was released on April 19.
