Several videos shared on social media have accidentally captured mysterious, ghostly encounters, leaving viewers incredulous.
The recent viral phenomenon, featuring the apparition of a soldier seated solemnly on a bench beside a war memorial, has reignited discussions about the existence of ghosts.
The footage, shared by two young men, depicts the apparition of a soldier near a war memorial, sparking intrigue and disbelief in North Devon.
Josh Newton and George Moore accidentally captured the mysterious phenomenon of ghosts in the memorial film.
The incident occurred on the evening of December 28th, 21-year-olds Josh Newton and George Moore stumbled upon an eerie discovery as they drove through Northam, North Devon.
Josh, from Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, admitted that he never believed in the existence of ghosts.
However, accidentally encountering something unexpected changed his perspective on this mysterious phenomenon.
Their attention was drawn to a war memorial, and Josh decided to film the monument with his phone. However, what he captured was far beyond his expectations after he saw his film again.
Upon reviewing the footage, Josh was astonished to find what appeared to be a misty figure of a man seated on a bench near the war memorial.
He said: "It looked like a really misty figure. It was clear. It was like someone [was] literally sitting there."
The Northam War Memorial, where this spectral sighting occurred, bears the names of soldiers who fell between 1914 and 1919, and between 1939 and 1945.
This is a place that serves as proof of the sacrifices made during times of conflict, with historical significance and, individuals who served their country.
Josh and his friend returned to the scene for a closer inspection but found no one occupying the bench.
This led them to believe that the misty figure they captured was indeed a phantom presence. The sudden disappearance of the apparition left Josh convinced of its otherworldly nature.
"It was definitely a male figure, so it very well could have been the ghost of a soldier," he said. As he adjusted his focus for a closer look, the figure vanished, leaving him in awe and disbelief.
Then, his skeptical family and friends were intrigued by the video. For Josh, the footage serves as undeniable proof of the existence of ghosts.
"In the comment section, many believe in the existence of ghosts in our lives, while others express skepticism about Josh's video,. Some admit to pondering the mysteries that lie beyond the realm of the living.
One person said: Looks real to me..i got goosebumps
A second wrote: That is really spooky!! There is no way I would have gone back to check out the scene. Brave lads indeed as it could easily have been a demonic spirit!!
