A photo recently shared on Facebook by Francesca, a resident of Sydney, Australia, has left social media users scratching their heads.
The image depicts a group of people standing motionless on Balmoral Beach, sparking confusion and even concern.
Francesca, who encountered the scene while walking near the water's edge, found the sight unusual enough to capture it on camera.
The photo showcases at least six individuals dressed in dark clothing, all standing upright and gazing out towards the ocean. One person lies flat on the sand behind the standing figures.
The photo's eerie quality has fueled online speculation.
The motionless figures and one person lying down bear an undeniable resemblance to scenes from science fiction or zombie movies.
Comments on Francesca's post echoed this sentiment, with one user comparing the scene to a "zombie movie."
One person said: Glitch in the matrix
A second wrote: They are making a stand for FREEDOM
While a third commented: Looks photoshopped to me.... the way the sand border follows around the one guys head is too perfect
Another added: Vaccination kicking in I guess
Someone else said: That's 1st stage with folks that took the covid vaccine. Bringing the nanotechnology online. With the 5G network. We will see this all over soon.
While the photo might raise initial questions, the answer is far less sinister than an alien invasion or a zombie outbreak.
Thankfully, Francesca's search for answers within the Facebook group "Mosman Living" proved successful. The group identified the activity as a walking meditation session, rooted in the teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza. These sessions reportedly occur most Sundays and are open to anyone interested in participating.
Dr. Dispenza's website outlines four types of meditation: sitting, standing, walking, and lying down. The website describes walking meditation as a method for "embodying our future while living in the present moment".
Participants practice living in a desired future state through their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors during the walk.
