On April 15, one viewer wrote on X: "@TheView I absolutely love The View but Whoopie sitting there uninterested is getting old. Love you Whoopie but come on..."
The following day, another fan posted: "@TheView why is @whoopie_g the host and looks bored all the time so dry!! [what the hell]."
One person said: That show needs to be sent to a deserted island.
A second wrote: I thought that was just her! She seems to have been preparing for retirement for several years now.
While a third commented: I have been looking and feeling the same for years, and I have seen a lot of people looking the same way. So not sure why that’s even a valid question
Someone else said: Seriously, anyone with a brain would feel that way about the View.
Goldberg, now 68 years old, joined the cast of The View as a host and moderator in 2007. She has been a significant presence on the show ever since.
She currently stars alongside Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro, continuing to share her input on a variety of topics. However, some fans have recently suggested she looks 'bored'.
An insider with knowledge of the show told The Sun that Goldberg appeared to be 'tired' while taping the episode which aired on April 17.
They claimed: "Whoopi walked into the room with slouchy pink overalls, a white dress shirt, and clogged shoes. She was very underdressed compared to the other hosts who were wearing dresses or pencil skirts."
The insider also claimed Goldberg seemed 'uninterested' in conversations and was 'not in an upbeat mood compared to the others'.
Some viewers have suggested it is 'time for Whoopi to leave The View', but in October Goldberg spoke out about potential retirement and indicated that she had no plans to step back.
Speaking at the time, she said: "I've done nothing but retire. I've been retired my whole career, so I kind of like that, yeah."
Whoopi Goldberg criticized Gen Z and Millennials who ‘only want to work 4 hours’ a day.
On 8 November, during an interview on the BBC chat show, Goldberg didn't hold back as she criticized millennials who, according to her, "only want to work four hours."
She scoffed: 'But, I'm sorry, if you only want to work four hours, it's going to be harder for you to get a house,' Goldberg shared her personal experience of hard work and the lack of options for her generation.
She said: "'And you know what? People pick it up, and they do what they do and they raise themselves. And this is what you've got to do. It's called being a good citizen.'"
