In the footage,  Raspin, a 27-year-old insurance worker and mother of one, has opened up about the compromises she's making to save for a house by July 2025.

Despite a combined household income of $180,000, a TikToker has sparked a debate by claiming she can't afford'self-care, which gained attention on social media.

A  woman faced with a cost of living crisis

In the footage, Raspin,revealed the struggle for self-care. She is left with just $150 every two weeks after budgeting for her expenses.

According to Raspin, she only has $150 for discretionary spending every fortnight.

However, the cost of self-care services such as nails, hair, lash lift tint, brow lamination, sculpting, and dye amounts to a total of $370 per month, which exceeds her budget.

Additionally, in her TikTok video, Raspin asked her followers how they manage to afford self-care on tight budgets.  While she admitted that self-care is expensive,. 

The video quickly went viral and sparked debate on social media. 

Raspin's post quickly garnered a slew of contrasting responses. In the comment selection, many suggested DIY solutions, while others questioned her employment status.

Additionally, Raspin's post also sparked discussion about the financial struggles of many families in the cost of living crisis.
