According to reports, Young Sook An, a 42-year-old woman, from Washington was attacked in her house by his ex-husband due to their conflict related to money.
Before conducting evil behavior, her ex-husband, Chae Kyong An, 53, punched Sook An in her bedroom, then placed tape across her eyes, thighs, and ankles to kidnap her.
Fortunately, Young Sook timely called 911 with her Apple Watch and sent her daughter and best friend an emergency before her ex-husband pulled her to the garage and smashed the Apple Watch.
In a surveillance camera, her ex-husband's van could be seen parking at the family's home and then driving away a short time later.
Based on Sook An's statement, after being restrained, she was driven to a location where she could hear her spouse digging.
After that, he dropped her to the ground and gave her a chest stab wound.
She described how she fought for each breath while trapped inside the shallow grave, using her constant wriggling to prevent the suffocating dirt from covering her face.
The hours passed slowly as day turned into night, and Young Sook estimated that she endured the harrowing experience for an extended period.
As darkness enveloped her surroundings, Young Sook summoned her last reserves of strength and managed to free herself from the tight tape.
When she removed the tape from her eyes, she saw that the truck's windows were smoking and the interior lights were still on.
Seizing the opportunity for escape, Young Sook ran for approximately 30 minutes until she stumbled upon a nearby house to ask for help.
Police in Lacey, Washington responded to a distress call from a woman who sounded gagged on Sunday.
They found signs of a disturbance in her empty home, with the garage door open and the main door unlocked.
The woman's friend, who received an emergency notification, revealed that the estranged husband had made a concerning statement about killing Young Sook An.
Chae Kyong An is currently facing charges of first-degree attempted murder, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree assault.
He was rushed into county jail without bail on Tuesday, and Young Sook, his wife, has requested that he remain in custody.
"Please no bail. I am really afraid for my life. I just want to emphasize that I fear him so much and he will kill me again if he is out," Sook An said in court.
